YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — An 18-month-old boy has died after falling in an irrigation creek behind his aunt’s house in Yakima.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office says family members lost sight of Tanner Morrison and he went missing Saturday afternoon. They searched the area and called police.

Rescuers found the boy in the canal downstream from the home. They pulled him from the water, began CPR and took him to a hospital but were unable to revive him.
