Letter: Partisanship hinders progress

The Columbian
Published: May 12, 2012, 5:00pm

The continuing partisanship of the right continues to hinder our country’s progress, and forward progress of our independent values/morals. The years of American prosperity were caused by a social covenant of all Americans no matter what race, religion, or culture after World War II.

Today we have an American culture that continues to be hijacked by ignorance, racism, and money using the word “God” to make it OK.

Do not allow ignorance to take your vote. The years 2001 to 2008 — the Bush years — are a good example of ignorance ruling our country.
