EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Everett, Wash., authorities say one man is presumed drowned and one was rescued after a small boat flipped over in Port Gardner Bay off Everett.

KOMO-TV reports that one man was able to tread water for about an hour until boaters rescued him and took him to shore Monday afternoon. That unidentified man was taken to a hospital. His condition was not available.

Everett spokeswoman Kate Reardan says the search for the second man has become a recovery operation.

The Coast Guard joined Everett police and fire crews in the search.

The 12-foot dinghy capsized just north of Jetty Island.
