City wins English title for 1st time in 44 years

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester City has won the English title for the first time in 44 years Sunday, staging a riveting comeback in stoppage time to beat Queens Park Rangers 3-2 on Sergio Aguero’s goal.

Aguero struck in the final moments of injury time, the second goal for City in stoppage time. The goal came seconds after Manchester United beat Sunderland 1-0 to ensure Manchester City won the Premier League title on goal difference.
