LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers have placed third baseman Juan Uribe on the 15-day disabled list because of a left wrist injury, and Los Angeles has held Matt Kemp out of the starting lineup for their game against Arizona on Monday night because of a sore hamstring.

Kemp had an MRI after aggravating his left hamstring running out a grounder in Sunday’s win over Colorado.

Los Angeles purchased the contract of utility man Elian Herrera from Triple-A Albuquerque. Outfielder Trent Oeltjen was designated for assignment to make room for Herrera on the 40-man roster.

Adam Kennedy started at third base in place of Uribe, who was in the original lineup that was posted in the clubhouse.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said he wasn’t ruling out Kemp as a pinch-hitter. Kemp entered Monday with a 399-game playing streak, the longest among active players.
