CHICAGO (AP) — Left-hander Danny Duffy has been pulled from the Kansas City Royals’ game at the Chicago White Sox with an apparent injury.

Duffy got Adam Dunn to fly out for the second out of the first inning before a trainer and Royals manager Ned Yost came out to the mound. After a short discussion, Duffy was replaced by right-hander Luis Mendoza.

The 23-year-old Duffy faced three batters in his sixth start of the season. He entered Sunday’s game with a 2-2 record and a 4.00 ERA.
