LAKEVIEW, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say it was a simple stop for a traffic violation — but it netted more than 60 pounds of marijuana valued at $150,000.

Sgt. Steve Yates says a trooper stopped a rented white car with Nevada license plates as it traveled southbound on Highway 395 near Lakeview, in south-central Oregon.

Further investigation found the pot in the trunk.

Arrested last Friday for investigation of unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance was 27-year-old Brandon Ace Colby of Veneta, Ore.
