PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland firefighters have turned out to battle a large fire at an apartment complex in the southwest part of the city. A Portland Fire Bureau spokesman says two firefighters were taken to a hospital late Wednesday afternoon for treatment of heat exhaustion and burns.
Spokesman Paul Corah says paramedics treated a number of other people for smoke inhalation.
The fire was contained to one three-story building, where it reportedly had burned multiple units.
There was no immediate word on a cause or damage estimate.
