Teen addiction expert to speak in Vancouver

A nationally recognized neuroscientist will host a talk at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on how drug addiction affects the teenage brain.

The talk by Dr. Bonnie Nagel, followed by a discussion on teen drug use, will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 24. at the education center at PeaceHealth, 400 N.E. Mother Joseph Place.

The event is sponsored by Daybreak Youth Services and Leadership Clark County, which joined local professionals, educators, and community members for the discussion on the effects of addiction on teen brain function. Nagel, a faculty member at Oregon Health Sciences University and a nationally known researcher in the field of adolescent drug addiction, will be the keynote speaker.

There is no cost to attend the event. Organizers ask that you RSVP by May 21 at Teen Brain Talk to guarantee seating.
