SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego Padres have selected right-hander Matt Palmer from Triple-A Tucson, optioned right-hander pitcher Nick Vincent back to Tucson and transferred left-hander Cory Luebke to the 60-day disabled list.

Manager Bud Black says Luebke is strongly leaning toward having reconstructive surgery on his elbow. He was placed on the DL on May 2 with a strained elbow.

Palmer made seven starts for Tucson, going 4-2 with a 4.64 ERA.

Vincent was recalled on Friday.
