MIAMI (AP) — Indiana forward Danny Granger sprained his left ankle after missing a shot late in the first half of Game 5 of the Pacers’ Eastern Conference semifinal series in Miami on Tuesday night.

Granger missed a 3-pointer with about 3 minutes left, and landed on LeBron James’ foot. Granger went down near the Heat bench, and play was stopped about 15 seconds later. Granger limped into the Indiana locker room for treatment and evaluation.

He had a team-best nine points when he got hurt. The team said there was a chance he could return for the second half.

Miami led 49-40 at intermission.
