MUKILTEO, Wash. (AP) — The Washington state ferry system has selected a site at Mukilteo for a new terminal that’s close to Sound Transit’s commuter rail platform.

The Daily Herald reports (http://is.gd/lA7fIx) the decision allows work to begin on environmental studies.

Construction could begin in 2015 on a new terminal that would cost about $125 million. It would replace the current 60-year-old dock.
