Kaiser Permanente this month released its health management application for iPhone.

The app is free in the Apple iTunes store.

The app offers patients access to all of the same tools they use through the My Health Manager function on the Kaiser website, kp.org. Patients can use the app to email providers, check lab test results, order prescription refills and manage appointments.

Earlier this year, Kaiser launched its mobile-optimized website for smartphones, m.kp.org, and its app for Android phones. The Android app already has more than 95,000 downloads.
