Firefighters with Clark County Fire District 13 responded to a fully involved car fire early Wednesday.

The fire was reported just after midnight near the intersection of Northeast Sunset Falls Road and Lucia Falls Road in Yacolt, according to emergency dispatch logs.

An off-duty Vancouver police officer discovered the car, said Chief Ben Peeler with Fire District 13, based in Yacolt.

It wasn’t reported stolen at the time of the fire, but the Clark County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy to investigate, he said.

Firefighters made a “pretty quick knockdown” of the fire, Peeler said.
