Letter: Cheer on smoke-free environments

Congratulations to the Oregon Zoo for going smoke-free beginning May 26. (Use of all tobacco products will be banned on zoo grounds.) The Metro Council unanimously approved this policy to “promote health and sustainable communities and maintain clean outdoor spaces free of pollutants.”

This is such a basic concept, yet some Vancouver leaders just can’t seem to comprehend. Look to our neighbors to the south and follow their good example.
