SEATTLE (AP) — A suspect in the May 16 fatal shooting at a south Seattle parking lot is now in custody.
King County Jail records show Troy D. Sanders was booked on a second-degree murder charge before 3 a.m. Friday with bail set at $2 million.
The 26-year-old was charged Wednesday in the death of 31-year-old Courtney Taylor following an altercation in the restaurant parking lot. Witnesses told police that Sanders had been filming a rap video just before the shooting. Taylor also is a rapper, but it’s unknown if that was a factor in the shooting.
Responding police said a hostile crowd prevented emergency responders from reaching the victim for about five minutes.
