OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Washington man accused in the death of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend has waived his extradition from Oklahoma.
Oklahoma City television station KWTV reports (http://is.gd/dm4wcv ) that Jarod Lane appeared before an Oklahoma County district judge Tuesday morning without a lawyer and waived his extradition.
The 19-year-old was picked up by Oklahoma City police and Oklahoma state troopers on Monday after his abandoned vehicle was spotted on the shoulder of Interstate 35 about 18 miles north of Oklahoma City,
Police say Lane is a suspect in the death of Jessica Scholl, whose body was found in a burning home near Seattle.
