GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — The jury in John Edwards’ campaign corruption trial has finished its seventh day of deliberations without reaching a verdict.

The judge said Tuesday jurors are scheduled to work an extra 30 minutes if they need to on Wednesday and Thursday. They are set to leave early Friday to accommodate jurors’ family commitments, including attending high school graduations.

The judge met behind closed doors Tuesday with attorneys to talk about a problem with a juror, but it’s still not clear what was discussed.

Some of the alternate jurors wore matching shirts last week, and Edwards has exchanged smiles with one of the alternate jurors, a woman.

Edwards faces six charges involving nearly $1 million provided by two wealthy donors to help hide his pregnant mistress as he sought the White House.
