Vancouver blogger and cookbook author Chrisetta Mosley will sign copies of her book and offer free samples of her Simply Unforgettable Tomato Soup at an event in June.

The cookbook signing and tasting event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 9 at New Season’s Market — Fisher’s Landing, 2100 S.E. 164th Ave.

The cookbook, titled “Farewell Fatso! Bringing Cooking Back,” is sold at New Seasons. Mosley’s soup is now offered in the New Seasons deli and Grab & Go section.

Mosley battled with childhood obesity but has since lost 170 pounds. She credits her success to her home cooking.

Mosley authors a blog, Farewell Fatso!, which also appears on The Columbian website.
