NEW YORK (AP) — Free agent left-hander Jose Morel has been suspended for 50 games for a positive drug test under baseball’s minor league program.

The commissioner’s office said Wednesday he tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.

Morel’s suspension will begin as soon as he signs with another Major League organization.

There have been 44 suspensions this year under the minor league drug program.
