The first of two eight-inning games begins at 4 p.m.

Among the names scheduled to play are state playoff participants Tanner Bogart and Michael Barnes of Columbia River; Michael Rivers, Riley O’Dell, Dean Taylor, Ryan Johnson, Justin Rinta, Connor Atchison, Brandon Rudolph, Zach Torson, and Jake Shelley of Mountain View; Spencer Ramsey, Cole Buruse, Connor Webb, Eric Meyer, and David Garlington of Skyview; and Brady Williams of Ridgefield.

The doubleheader annually gives baseball fans one final opportunity to watch Southwest Washington’s senior baseball players compete for their schools in Clark County. From this game, a number of players are selected to represent Southwest Washington in the all-state series.

Seton Catholic celebrates signee

Aili Nutter, a libero for the Seton Catholic volleyball program, has signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Great Falls in Montana.

Nutter helped the Cougars to a third-place finish at the state tournament last fall.

She is the first athlete from the new school to sign a letter of intent. Nutter, and 15 of her classmates, will make up the school’s first graduating class in June.

Vancouver resident stars in Oregon

The Martel-Rao finish helped Jesuit to a tie for the team championship.

Martel is planning to attend Wellesley College in Boston in the fall and will play tennis.
