WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — More than 20 miles of trails in the Walla Walla area have been designated a new National Recreation Trail System.
The designation was made Thursday by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Director of the National Park Service Jonathan B. Jarvis.
The trails are along Mill Creek’s south shoreline and around Bennington Lake, and will be known as the Bennington Lake National Recreation Trail System.
