INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — American Lady defeated Top Debutante by 1 1-2 lengths to win the $71,800 Reminiscing Stakes for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert on Friday night at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, American Lady ran 7 1-2 furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:30.49 and paid $3.80, $2.60 and $2.10 as the wagering favorite.
Top Debutante returned $7 and $2.80, while Spectacular Sky was another 2 1-4 lengths back in third and paid $2.20 to show. Baffert’s other entry, Pink Lollipops, was fourth in the five-horse field.
Baffert earned his sixth stakes victory of the spring-summer meet, moving him into sole possession of fifth on the track’s career list with 85.
American Lady has three wins in six career starts and earnings of $133,866.
