YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Police say a 37-year-old man was wounded in the leg in a gang shooting early Thursday outside an apartment in Yakima.

Officers found the victim on the sidewalk shortly after midnight.

Witnesses helped police identify a suspect several blocks away. Officers arrested a 19-year-old and recovered a handgun.

Police say both men are self-admitted members of opposing gangs.
