EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Police say a man’s body has been recovered from the water off Everett, Wash.

Officer Aaron Snell says the Snohomish County medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy and identify the body spotted Friday evening by a boater.

The Daily Herald says the body was found in the same general area where police searched after a boat capsized May 14, leaving one man presumed drowned.

The body of 49-year-old Richard Irby Jr. of Everett has not been found. Police say his boat was overloaded with scrap metal. Another man in that boat was rescued.
