SEC-Big East hoops games set, minus new members

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — The Southeastern Conference and Big East will match up in 12 basketball games over three days next season.

The annual SEC-Big East Challenge will be held from Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 with each league hosting six games.

The matchups include Kentucky visiting Notre Dame on Nov. 29 and Syracuse playing at Arkansas on Nov. 30.

None of the two leagues’ new members are playing.

The other Nov. 29 games include: South Carolina at St. John’s, Seton Hall at LSU and Marquette at Florida.

The rest of the Nov. 30 games: Georgia at South Florida, DePaul at Auburn and Tennessee at Georgetown.

The final day’s matchups are Mississippi State at Providence, Rutgers at Mississippi, Alabama at Cincinnati and Villanova at Vanderbilt
