Letter: Compare Probst, Benton voting records

The Columbian
Published: November 1, 2012, 5:00pm

If Tim Probst gets elected over Sen. Don Benton for state Senate from the 17th Legislative District, students in Washington state will have a difficult time getting the education our Constitution promises. If Probst gets elected, he would continue the legacy of Gov. Chris Gregoire’s failed educational policies.

We need someone to work with the needs of our community, not wavering interests in Olympia. Probst is not the type of person that we can afford to have leading Clark County next session. I suggest that anyone in favor of Probst look into his voting record and compare it to Benton’s before making this vital decision.
