A man was arrested after a hit-and-run accident Friday evening at West 29th and Grant streets in Vancouver.

Few details were available at The Columbian’s press time.

A Ford Explorer hit a white van at the intersection and the Explorer’s driver fled the scene, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian.

Police responded at 6 p.m. and arrested Robert Israel, 22, on an outstanding warrant and possibly other charges as well, said Officer Ilia Botvinnick with the Vancouver Police Department. Israel’s hometown wasn’t immediately available.

Vancouver police are investigating this incident.
