BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Veteran cornerback Terrence McGee has been placed on season-ending injured reserve and receiver Marcus Easley promoted to the active roster in a series of moves made by the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills, on Tuesday, also placed right tackle Erik Pears (hip/groin) on injured reserve and released rookie kicker John Potter.
McGee’s been slowed by a nagging left knee injury that hasn’t fully healed since he had surgery a year ago. His agent, Ron Raccuia, said McGee will likely require a second operation.
Easley, selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 200 draft, opened the season on the Bills’ practice squad. He’s missed the previous two seasons due to a knee injury and a heart condition.
The moves come as Buffalo prepares to play at New England on Sunday.
