As proponents of gay marriage declare victory today of Referendum 74, civil organizers will host a town hall at 7:30 tonight in Vancouver.

The town hall, hosted by Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, will take place at First Congregational/United Church of Christ at 1220 N.E. 68th St.

Among the speakers will be State Rep. Jim Moeller, D-Vancouver, and Jeana Frazzini of Basic Rights Oregon. The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus will perform.

The event is described as a post-election, freedom-to-marry celebration. On Tuesday night, Referendum 74 was passing by 3 percentage points with roughly 2 million votes counted. Hundreds of thousands of votes have yet to be tallied.

The event is open to the public and expected to last one hour.
