BOSTON (AP) — Chase Rettig made his collegiate debut against Notre Dame.

This time he’s hoping to finish the job.

Rettig was promoted to starter for Boston College’s nationally televised game against the Fighting Irish in 2010. He started with three straight three-and-outs to fall behind 21-0 before connecting on a 58-yard touchdown pass at the end of the first quarter.

But on the Eagles’ first possession of the second, he was blindsided in the pocket and left with a sprained ankle.

Now Rettig is hoping that he can lead BC to victory over unbeaten and No. 4 Notre Dame in another Saturday night game.
