Doscher, Wagner rallies to beat Holy Cross 31-30

NEW YORK (AP) — Nick Doscher found Cody Morgan for a touchdown with 18 seconds left to lift Wagner past Holy Cross 31-30 Saturday.

Wagner (7-3) took a 14-3 lead when Dominique Williams rushed 5-yards for the score. Williams finished with 173 yards on 22 carries.

Eddie Houghton answered for Holy Cross (1-9), running it in from 3 yards out with 36 seconds left in the first half. Wagner led at halftime 14-10.

Steven Elder found Gerald Mistretta for two 4-yard touchdowns, helping Holy Cross start the second half on a 21-0 run, building a 27-14 lead.

With Wagner trailing 30-17 in the fourth quarter, Doscher took over. Doscher found Williams for a 10-yard touchdown with 7:09 remaining, cutting the lead to 30-24.

On Holy Cross’ next possession, Jarrett Dieudonne forced Steven Elder to fumble, setting up the winning drive.

Doscher completed the comeback finding Morgan for the 4-yard touchdown and the win.
