NEW YORK (AP) — My Wandy’s Girl lived up to her advance billing, winning the $75,000 Pentelis Stakes for fillies and mares Thursday at Aqueduct.

My Wandy’s Girl made her New York debut for trainer Mike Hushion, after winning 13 of 17 races — including the last eight in a row — in Puerto Rico. The 3-year-old rallied up the rail with Ramon Dominguez aboard to beat Mildly Offensive by a length. The time was 1:17.15 for the 6 1/2 furlongs.

My Wandy’s Girl paid $7.10, $4.70 and $2.20. Mildly Offensive returned $4.30 and $2.40, and Kid Kate, the even-money favorite, paid $2.10.
