This morning, Thursday November 15, 2012, at 10:07 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of a helicopter that made an emergency landing at Robert Gray Middle School, located at 5505 Southwest 23rd Avenue.

Officers arrived and learned that there were no injuries and that the training helicopter from Hillsboro Aviation made the emergency landing after the pilot and co-pilot noticed an engine warning light and decided to make the precautionary landing on the school’s baseball field.

A flatbed truck is enroute to pick-up the helicopter and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responding to conduct an investigation.
