NEW YORK (AP) — Jordan McCord rushed for 3 touchdowns and Gavin McCarney accounted for two as Colgate edged Fordham 41-39 Saturday.

Each team scored 20 fourth-quarter points.

For Colgate (8-3, 6-0), which already clinched the Patriot League championship, McCord gained 141 yards and ran for three touchdowns. McCarney (12 of 20 passing, 212 yards) threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Ryne Morrison to regain the lead for good, 21-16. McCarney also rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown.

For Fordham (6-5), Carlton Koonce carried 33 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns of 26, 6 and 37 yards. Quarterback Ryan Higgins completed 33 of 55 passes for 386 yards and two touchdowns, both to Brian Wetzel.

The second, a 19-yarder with 43 seconds left, pulled Fordham within 41-39. The PAT following McCord’s last touchdown had been blocked. But Higgins’ two-point conversion pass failed. Colgate recovered an onside kickoff to win its seventh straight.
