FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Kevin Foster scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, and Fresno State rode a late 8-0 run to a 66-61 victory over Pacific on Friday night.

Foster was 3 of 7 from the field and 6 of 8 from the line. He added three steals for the Bulldogs (2-1) who also got 13 points from Allen Huddleston, 11 from Kevin Olekaibe and 10 from Tyler Johnson.

Lorenzo McCloud scored 20 points and Colin Beatty had 10 rebounds for the Tigers (1-1), who tied the game at 58 on Beatty’s free throw with 3:18 to play. But a Jerry Brown jumper, a Huddleston 3-pointer and three free throws sealed the game for the Bulldogs before McCloud hit a meaningless 3-pointer with 7 seconds left.

Fresno State narrowed Pacific’s lead in the series to 78-75. The teams have played each other at least once a season since 1964-65, except in 2006-07.
