Air Force soars to 83-43 win against Regis

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Michael Lyons and freshman Cameron Michael scored 15 points each to lead Air Force to an 83-43 win against Regis University on Sunday.

Taylor Broekhuis and Tre’ Coggins added 13 points apiece for the Falcons, who are 4-0 for the first time since 2007-08.

Corbin Green scored 10 points off the bench for Regis, a Division II school in Denver that classified the game as an exhibition. The Rangers’ record remained 1-0.

A 24-3 run by Air Force over the final 11:06 of the first half enabled it to take a 39-13 lead to halftime. Regis shot 19 percent (4 of 21) from the floor in the first half.

Air Force dominated inside, enjoying a 46-24 rebounding edge and outscoring Regis 32-16 in the paint.
