Eastern Kentucky comes back to beat Radford 83-75

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Mike DiNunno tallied 19 points and five assists as Eastern Kentucky overcame a second-half deficit to topple Radford 83-75 Sunday in a nonconference affair.

Eastern Kentucky trailed 51-42 with 14 minutes left, then Jeff Johnson sparked a 17-2 Colonels’ run with a 3-pointer. Eastern Kentucky took the 59-53 lead and ran away with the game from there, leading by as many as nine en route to the eight-point victory.

Radford jumped to a 30-14 lead in the first half, shooting 60 percent (15 of 25) from the field in the frame, including 6 of 9 on 3-pointers.

The second half was a different story, with the Highlanders shooting 42.9 percent (9 of 21) from the field and connecting on 3 of 8 3-pointers.

Javonte Green led the Highlanders with a career-high 28 points on 11-of-13 shooting, and also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Glenn Cosey had 20 points for Eastern Kentucky.
