Clark County Pub Talk: The Business Pitch competition, 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hatheway Road. Featuring the business pitches of a few lucky entrepreneurs with winner receiving a business-boosting prize. Light refreshments. Volunteers needed for tax preparation:
AARP Tax-Aide is seeking volunteers to assist with tax preparation in Clark County. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed. Volunteers must have basic computer skills and become proficient with tax return preparation software, as all returns are filed electronically. Training takes places in January. From Feb. 1 through April 15 volunteers will help clients one-on-one at various tax sites across Clark County. Profitability Rescue 101: Veronika Noize will present Profitability Rescue 101, a marketing program that focuses on your prosperity and an assessment of where you are now, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at DIY Marketing Center (inside Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce office), 1101 Broadway, Suite 100.
