HOUSTON (AP) — TaShawn Thomas had 22 points and 13 rebounds as Houston rolled past Louisiana College 106-59 Monday night.

The Cougars, who are off to their first 4-0 start since 1997-98, also got 17 points from Jherrod Stiggers, 14 from Joseph Young, 12 from Danuel House and 10 each from Leon Gibson and Brandon Morris.

Houston led 55-26 at halftime and hit the century mark when J.J. Thompson hit a jumper with 3:05 remaining.

Louisiana College, a Division III school that considered this an exhibition game, committed 30 turnovers and shot just 32 percent from the floor. Romanaski Williams and Anthony Gaines Jr. each had 12 points for the Wildcats.

Houston shot 51 percent from the floor and could have scored even more if not for a 21 for 39 shooting performance from the free-throw line.
