COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson will play Saturday at No. 9 Texas A&M after he was suspended for last week’s 31-27 loss to Syracuse for violating team rules.

Coach Gary Pinkel also said Monday that quarterback James Franklin is questionable for the game after suffering a concussion on an option play in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss.

Richardson’s 70 tackles are second-most on the team and rank first in the Southeastern Conference among interior defensive linemen. The Tigers (5-6, 2-5 SEC) gave up 508 yards to Syracuse.

Franklin has missed three starts this year because of shoulder and knee injuries after starting all 13 games in 2011. Backup Corbin Berkstresser will start if Franklin isn’t able to play.
