Wyoming beats Northern Colorado 69-60

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Derrious Gilmore scored 24 points to lead Wyoming to a 69-60 win over Northern Colorado on Wednesday night.

Gilmore was 4 of 9 from the field and made 13 of 14 free throws. Leonard Washington finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Derek Cooke Jr had 12 points for Wyoming (5-0).

Northern Colorado (1-2) led 26-23 at halftime, in a game with four lead changes. Wyoming took the lead for good at 11:13 in the second when Gilmore connected on a 3-point shot, putting the Cowboys up 40-39.

Paul Garnica had 13 points for the Bears and Tate Unruh had 12. Derrick Barden had nine points and seven rebounds. Northern Colorado had 20 turnovers.

Wyoming shot 35.7 percent from the field in the first half, 50 percent in the second.

Wyoming holds a 53-19 advantage in the series.
