ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Kyle Fossman and Jalen Little scored 14 points apiece, and Alaska-Anchorage rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to defeat UC Riverside 66-65 on Friday afternoon in a Great Alaska Shootout consolation matchup.

Teancum Stafford added 10 points for the Division II Seawolves, including a 3-pointer with 2:29 left that gave Anchorage the lead for good, 64-62. Riverside had a chance to win in the final seconds, but Chris Harriel’s 3-point attempt was off the mark.

The Highlanders (1-5) had led 56-45 after Dayton Boddie’s layup with 8:56 to play before Anchorage closed the game on a 21-9 run.

Chris Patton led Riverside with 16 points and eight rebounds, Harriel added 12 points and Austin Quick had 11.

The Seawolves move on to face the winner of Friday’s Loyola Marymount-Texas State contest in the consolation final on Saturday, while the Highlanders will play the loser of that game.
