A Nov. 15 news brief reported, “State spent $77,000 to kill 7 wolves from pack.” This expenditure by the Washington Fish & Wildlife Department is another example of irresponsible government spending. They could have just sold special hunting permits for $25, given a $125 bounty on each wolf killed and had the seven wolves eliminated for $700, probably in less time than the 43 days it took them to spend $77,000.
