BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Shavon Coleman and Johnny O’Bryant III provided double-doubles to lift LSU to a 75-50 victory over Mississippi Valley State Saturday in a nonconference matchup.

Coleman poured in 16 points and tacked on a career-high 11 rebounds, while O’Bryant III garnered 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

LSU (4-0) has won all four of its games under first-year coach Johnny Jones. It marks the first time since the 2008-09 season that the Tigers have started a season 4-0, when the program won its last SEC championship.

After misfiring on 10 of its first 11 field-goal attempts, LSU went 10 of 15 from the floor over the final 12-plus minutes of the opening half. The Tigers turned an early five-point deficit into a 33-23 halftime advantage.

Mississippi Valley State (0-4) was led by Davon Usher’s 16 points. Blake Ralling added 15 points on five 3-pointers for the Delta Devils.
