Preliminary plans are in the works to develop a 90,000-square-foot office and retail building on the northwest corner of Padden Parkway and Northeast 94th Avenue in Vancouver.

The 9.1-acre parcel is zoned for commercial development, according to Clark County records. It is owned by Vancouver Church of Christ Inc., which operates a nearby church and school.

County officials are scheduled to hold a pre-application conference on Dec. 13 to discuss the project with its unnamed developers. The purpose of a pre-application conference is to review applications to make sure they are ready to be submitted.
