Non-injury crashes snarl Highway 500

A pair of non-injury crashes snarled state Highway 500 at Stapleton Road Friday morning.

Both crashes (one in each direction) were reported just after 8 a.m., said Trooper Will Finn, spokesman for the Washington State Patrol.

Finn said a total of six cars and one semi were involved in the crashes. No one was reported injured, but one person needed a tow truck.

Lanes were cleared around 8:30 a.m. but the crashes caused traffic backup in the area, Finn said.
