Boys basketball: Battle Ground 62, Washougal 53

A big fourth quarter from Miles Luke carried the visiting Tigers past the Panthers. Luke scored 12 of his game-high 32 points down the stretch as Battle Ground outscored Washougal 18-10 in the final period.

Free-throw shooting proved significant. Battle Ground made 21 of 26 foul shots, while Washougal made only 16 of 29, including only four of 10 in the fourth quarter.

Mike McElroy led the Panthers (2-1) with 16 points and Austin Tran scored 13.
