Lisa Sedlar, president and CEO of New Seasons Market, will resign effective Nov. 2, the Portland-based company said Tuesday.

New Seasons, with 12 stores, including one in east Vancouver at Fisher’s Landing, has launched a search for a new CEO and expects to name a replacement early next year.

Sedlar intends to launch her own company of healthful convenience stores, New Seasons said in a statement. New Seasons will be a minority investor in that company.

Sedlar became president of New Seasons in 2005 and was later named CEO. During her tenure, the company added eight stores and now has nearly 2,400 employees.
