SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A week after breaking a Southern Conference record with 321 rushing yards, Eric Breitenstein again paced Wofford on Saturday in a 20-17, come-from-behind victory against conference foe Furman.

Breitenstein ground out 158 yards on 21 carries and has 898 rushing yards on 93 carries through five games this season.

As a team, Wofford (5-0, 3-0) ran the ball 53 times for 303 yards, including touchdown runs by Cam Flowers and Brian Kass.

Kass was also 3-of-4 passing for 61 yards, including what proved a game-winning touchdown to Jeff Ashley with 6:49 left in the third quarter.

Kass’ late score gave the Terriers their first lead of the game, as Jerodis Williams twice scored tie-breaking touchdowns for Furman (2-4, 1-2). The first — a 27-yard run — gave the Paladins a 7-0 advantage in the first quarter, and in the second, his 1-yard run pushed Furman to a 14-7 lead.
